Lunch Out!
THURSDAY
It was a lovely bright and sunny day today, although a little chilly.
I was up, showered and dressed I time for Hazma's arrival with the shopping in the Ocado Plum Van.
Then I headed down to Rhuddlan this morning for my booked haircut with Catherine at Headmasters. When I arrived, John – a fellow crown green bowler from the local club – was in the chair, so I had a good catch-up with both of them.
After the chat and cut, it was a stop off at home and then a drive over to Porth Erias for lunch at Bryn Williams' Restaurant. It’s in a fantastic spot right on the seafront, with a beautiful view of Colwyn Bay. I always love the food here – it’s never a disappointment. Bryn, who lives just a neighbouring village to ours, has worked with some big names in the culinary world. He’s spent time under Marco Pierre White at The Criterion, as a Sous Chef for Michel Roux at Le Gavroche, and was senior-sous at The Orrery for four years.
After lunch, we took a drive along the seafront, ending up in Llandudno for a bit of shopping and a late afternoon coffee.
I was back home by 16:30, just in time for a walk around the village while there was still daylight.
