Brightly

As forecast, the sun shone brightly today and we’ve had blue sky all day. Such a relief.

I met with a friend for lunch. We’ve not seen each other for many months so had a good long chat. I’m considering joining the yoga class she attends. I need to do some strength building exercises. I’m discovering that as you get older, muscles, tendons and ligaments (amongst other things) need much more care and attention!

My blip is the view from the northern end of the village looking towards the South Downs. The small tower is the Racton Monument - a folly which was built in the mid-late 1700s, possibly as a summer house for the nearby Stansted Estate. Another theory is that it was used by the Second Earl of Halifax to survey his merchant fleet as it docked in The Solent.

Wishing you a good Friday.
