My dad always said you shouldn’t
take a photo looking into the sun. But sometimes it looks quite good. I’m walking through the cemetery to go out the other side to meet my friend M in the park, for a walk. It’s about half way between our homes.
I liked the way the grass looks so bright and springy. It’s still terribly cold and you can see the frost bottom left where the sun hasn’t reached. As we stood and chatted in the play area at the bottom of the park, the sun felt really warm on my back. Later in the day M messaged me with a new word “apricity” which means the warmth of the winter sun, or more accurately the feeling of the warmth on your body
A lovely social day as I also had lunch with my young friend K. She is a gardener and odd job woman who used to live opposite me until her landlord sold the house. She still comes back here to work at various houses, so it’s a good chance to meet up.
