Natural History Museum
Unfortunately one of the kitchen chairs that we bought in October got a crack in the leg, but no problem at all, the supplier arranged for a replacement chair to be delivered to our house today. The delivery was scheduled from 7am - 10am, so I was up early and dressed before 7am. I then got a text to say they would be arriving around 9.30am so I quickly took Xena for a walk in the rain. We were back in time to take delivery of the replacement chair, and then I got ready to leave to get the 10.30am train to London. In between that I changed the bedding and did some loads of laundry, so it was a busy morning.
I was meeting Meriel at the Natural History Museum to see the annual exhibition of the Wildlife Photographer Of The Year. It is always exhibited extremely well at the museum with large backlit photos. I thought the images were very good this year as they usually are, and I was pleased to see so many UK photographers who were successfully selected for the exhibition - they select 100 photos from about 54,000 entries from around the world.
After the exhibition we went to lunch at a small Japanese restaurant called Tombo, it's a favourite of Luke and Meriels and I can see why. Excellent food and very reasonably priced. An extra of the lady in green!
I was back home in time to take Xena for another walk. I was due to have a physio appointment at 5pm but my wrist brace has not arrived yet, so we have rescheduled for Monday.
Luke has his appointment with the specialist shoulder surgeon tonight, and after that he and Meriel are coming here for the weekend. Gavin is in Switzerland until Monday.
