What a way to finish with January.

A 90 minute walk in the Peak District along Cracken Edge.

It was almost 100% cloud cover at the start but eventually some brightness appeared to the East. It didn’t quite look like this but I decided I could enhance the colours and definition just a little to celebrate the end of January. There are better months ahead I’m sure.

The view is slightly South of East over South Head in the middle ground towards Rushup Edge with the Air Shaft from the tunnel on the Hope Valley line visible if viewed large. 

There were hardly any birds around, I was hoping for an Owl or two at dusk but no luck. A Raven was calling out from Big Stone on Chinley Churn.

We watched an old favourite on Talking Pictures TV - Jack Warner as a Brighton CID man in Jigsaw.  I just realised I forgot to watch Doomwatch later on the same channel but will be able to find it on their encore web site.
