Christmas crafts

I thought perhaps an end of the month blip was in order. I realise blipping has almost slipped off my radar. But I need to put everything into perspective and it isn’t an essential part of my day anymore. But I’m still paying my £3.65 a month so must share things every now and again…

Those of you who know me, will know I’m not sitting about twiddling my thumbs. Work is still dominating everything but it isn’t stopping me from enjoying my down time any more. I’ve had some ideas on how to recycle my last years Christmas cards, plus my rescued wrapping paper. I am making them into iris folded patterns, within the old card, using my wrapping paper. You need to zoom in to see it. Tonight I finished off my first two cards. I’m going to take it slow through the year - although I will need to do more than 2 a month!!

I bought a heat gun at the weekend which I’m using with embossing powders to embellish cards. I’m still at the learning stage, but enjoying it. And it’s an excuse to go to Hobbycraft.

I have also started editing my book. My friend finished reading it, and said she enjoyed it. That pleased me. Editing is hard. I’ve already moved chapter 4 to chapter 1 and am already much happier with the opening. It’s going to be a long slog though. So far I’ve loosely edited 10 chapters. 55 to go. Mollie is also reading it for me as I edit. She is good at English (especially for the 7 year olds she teaches) and perhaps biased, but is saying it’s good so far. It’s keeping me positive about publishing later in the year!

That was a quick month. How is it that time moves faster, the older we get? There is no logic, but it really does. We must make the most of every minute.
