Dinner and games

Sally, Richard, Paddy, and Caitlin came over for dinner and games this evening. Sally brought a huge vegetarian lasagne, and Mr hazelh made pancakes for our pudding. We played Bag of chips, Bohnanza, and Love letter (blipped). It was lots of fun, and a date for our next gathering is already in the diary.

Since I am banned from exercise at the moment (due to my recent operation) and no longer have Mummy hazelh caring duties at home, I now have time to catch up on some long-overdue tasks. This morning I wrote a blog post on my co-authored paper 'Podcasting the archive', which was published in December 2024 (albeit with a 2023 imprint date - the journal is far behind in its publication schedule).

For exercise today, I set off by foot to the charity shops of Morningside. Mr hazelh joined me, partly to keep me company and also to hunt for DVDs of Game of thrones series 6-8. We returned by bus, empty-handed, but it was a lovely afternoon to be out in the sunshine - and we also saw the first few crocuses poking through the turf on Bruntsfield Links.

Exercise today: walking (13,040 steps).
