Fumba

This morning I was back on a dala dala to Stone Town, which went smoothly. I met up with Kate and Robin after a few months of not seeing each other, and we had a great trip to Fumba, a corner of the island which was a first for me. There we had a lovely meal, pool dip and refreshing swim in the sea. This image was taken from a rickety tree house as we worked up our appetite for dinner, and I tried to ensure that Rob and Kate’s four-year old son wouldn’t leap from the very gappy fence posts into the crown of the tree.
