The spring of good intentions
The trouble with winter (and this has been the first full winter of retirement) is that it's very easy to sit around doing nothing, especially if you're just messing with bits of electronics in a nice warm house. Not much incentive to get out. But (and it's a big butt, though that's a completely different problem) the knee(s), which have been troublesome of late, need to do more work. Luckily, the newsagent has stopped the newspaper delivery service so I've taken on the job of going for the paper (and milk and whatever else is needed). It's only a mile to the shop but two miles is two miles to walk or cycle when it's dry. The big one will be click and collect from Tesco. I've done this before and it's not too bad. Four miles uphill with an empty bike, fill it up at the shop and then just roll home back down the hills.
