Ice Cream and Tooth Picks
Finished up the IceCream factory and Clarks Wood, maker of toothpicks, etc. Both kits were from Bar Mills. Added some people and some landscaping.
I have to admit that these kits were challenging - the directions were not great but with time it got easier. Some of the pictures of the finished building were actually HO and had some nice details not on N.
I am thinking seriously to walk away from N scale - just too little to build and maintenance of locomotives. I also found that making the buildings were as much fun as running trains. Soooooo I am thinking about taking down the N Scale layout - once I photo the whole thing. What I am thinking about is to use that entire room for a new Sn3 layout. The extra space will let me have a bit more area for Dolores and closer to the real thing. I can have two more long tops, one for Mancos CO (always wanted to model it), and the other for a bit of Durango but the center will be the West of Durango Rio Grande Western loco house.
The good news is that the wooden structure for the N scale will work perfect for the Sn3 layout so I can move very fast.
Nothing has been touched on either layout yet. Once the N is packed away, sold, etc and the Sn3 is moved from the loft where it is and move it onto the old N scale woordwork and get going adding.
The loft will then be changed into an exercise space.
I will share the progress. No - I have not lost my noodle. BTW I am thinking about keeping my favorite N trains to run on large setups at train shows.
