Wren on the stream

We have had some sun this afternoon, but basically today's been another damp grey one, so I just took the camera down to the Nuns' Stream to see if I could get shots of the goldcrests.  I failed, but did like this neat little wren balanced in midstream.  It occurred to me as I was about to load the shot up that if I put it in mono it would do for today's MM (subject 'Green') but somehow birds in black and white just remind me of those old Collins guides put together before the substantial use of colour film - boring!

Not a lot else to say about today.  Sis is back home by now I imagine, J's been driving all over the country, K's been walking her dogs and I've been cold.  It's just the way it goes..
