Back in the routine

Back to the normal Monday routine, with some relief. I got some photo-editing done in the morning, and then set off to meet Luca and Eben from school.  On the way I recorded this - a mural on a gable end near their school, one that I've been meaning to record for ArtUK for some time. It's the work of an artist called Bubba 2000, who specialises in stencil work. I've always been fond of it; I think it dates back to the Covid lockdown period. It's a bit tricky to photograph, as there are narrow gardens and hedges in front. But it's wearing well, and goodness knows we need to keep seeing its message.
Later I got an email reply from my close friend Barbara in the US. I'd written to ask how she was holding up in the face of all the turmoil there. Barbara's a quiet person, not one to exaggerate. Her words for what's been happening, with specific reference to Musk and his takeover of various government agency buildings and databases: "it's a coup".
