Musing of a Lady

Spring is Coming?

It's been a pretty typical Tuesday for Little Man and myself. We walked to nursery, where I left Little Man to enjoy a fun filled morning. I then came home.

If you read yesterday's post, then you'll know that i ended up having some issues with my bike. One of my friends, Mariska, who lives in Driebruggen, said her husband could look at my bike for me, so I went round. It appears that the problem lies with the valves. There was no change to the tyres when Hans, Mariska's husband, pumped them. He used his own pump. The back tyre is now almost completely flat. I've asked in my life group if anyone knows of a mobile bike repair company but so far no answer. The nearest bike repair shop is on the outskirts of Woerden, a journey that would take me about an hour and a half to walk, probably longer if I'm pushing my bike. It's very frustrating, because my bike is my main form of transport and even if I don't use it every day, it makes getting around so much easier as there are so few buses running through Driebruggen.

I collected Little Man and came home. We've had a quiet afternoon. I've been in contact with a few people, my brother and my parents, mainly, to get their advice on some stuff. Since I came to the Netherlands I've found that the safest way to do things, important things, is to bounce ideas of trusted people to see what their thoughts are before making a decision. It means that I have people around me when if the decision doesn't work out.

I noticed that the trees outside our home appear to have new shoots appearing. I really hope that this is a sign that spring is coming.
