Heading home

We decided to head back to the Wilson street pantry for one last breakfast before heading for our buses. My scrambled eggs with avocado and fresh tomato hit the spot nicely.

Packing was a slight challenge to try and fit in my purchases and the extra clothes I’d brought and not worn but I finally wrestled my bag closed. A short walk uphill along Buchanan street and we were on the bus.

I found out later that the junction of the M8 we should have come back onto after a stop at Maxim park had been closed due to a firearms incident and it obviously threw our driver too as he got lost in an industrial estate! First time I’ve ever experienced a three point turn from the top deck of a double decker coach.

Arrived almost 30 minutes late into Edinburgh but we still had plenty of time to grab a sandwich for lunch and get the local bus home before collecting Phin from daycare. He was pretty pleased to see us but tired from his 4 days of doggie socialising!

It was nice to have a lighter dinner of chicken and Caesar salad before a relaxing bath and an early night.
