Between fen and mountains

Vineyard and mountain

My cold was not too bad in the morning so I felt able to lead the walk as planned. Fortunately, I had organised a reasonably easy walk for those returning from injury or illness. It was a lovely sunny day, only four degrees to start with but rising to 18 degrees in the afternoon. We walked a circular route through vineyards up to a ruined castle and church. In all we walked 11.5 kilometres with 250 metres of ascent. Again it was an international walk in that there were five nationalities represented in our group of nine, Australian, Danish, American, French, and English.
