Spotted this control for an electric hob on the way to work. It all looks quite neat. Struggling with setting up a single sign on service at work. It's nearly working but the automation isn't quite there yet.

I did finish book #1 this year. It's a book we have referenced in a our current paper on philosophy of science, epistemology and whether computer simulations are a new kind of science. The book is very interesting and quite readable. The short answer is, yes, computational simulations are different because although the computations could be done in principle by a human, they cannot be done in practice. So computers allow us to extend our understanding to aspects that were not reachable before.
