Bough wow wow

Somehow work didn't let up at all until gone lunchtime, by which time I decided to finish. Yesterday's headache hadn't gone away overnight, nor in fact has it gone entirely even now, 12 hours later, as it has resisted three kinds of pain meds.

I went for a much longer walk than of late, to get fresh air. The recent storm did a lot of damage to the trees at the old curling pond. The huge branch closest to me here was rife inside with the same white fungus I blipped a while ago, so was probably less strong than it should have been, and another was close to being dead anyway, but the enormous piece of healthy tree further away in my photo was actually the trunk itself, split off halfway up, with a gigantic crack along its length.

I lit the woodburner late afternoon, had a cup of tea, had a cup of hot milk, and dozed on the settee while listening to Yes. My ribs are feeling a little bit better again though.
