Reed bunting
It was a lovely bright morning as I met up with two friends for a walk around the estuary. They had hoped to see the kingfisher but unfortunately it didn't make an appearance. The weather was very calm and fairly warm in the sun. We came across this female Reed bunting enjoying the sun before it flew off. There were numerous Teal, a few Redshanks, Widgeon, a Heron, various gulls with bright reflections in the water. We wandered past White Bridge completing a circuit back to the start but still didn't spot a kingfisher. It sun had become rather hazy as we walked giving a rather ethereal quality to the views. A lovely walk and catch up with friends. A dark cloud was looming on the horizon and a few spots of rain fell as I returned back home.
A quiet afternoon and camera club in the evening.
