Coffee break

A very early start as my check in time at the hospital was 07:30 for the surgery to remove a skin cancer from the side of my face.  That was the start of much sitting around for me.

I had to wait until about 10:30 for the first part of my operation where they did the initial part, which was quite quick.  I went back to the day surgery waiting area, had my packed lunch, sat and waited while the area they had cut out was checked to see if it had clear margins. I waited and waited... at about 1:30 they came and got me, and said they needed to take a little more but would then do the repair. 

The repair took quite a while and they also took out two other areas where I had small marks around my neck, they also took a biopsy of a different area on my face and told me I would need to use cream on some sun damage on another part of my face - but only once the operation had healed up. 

I was out in discharge just after 3pm where they gave me a coffee and some biscuits.  Rich came to pick me up and we went off home.
