A sparkling day
We had such a lovely dinner with our friend M last night, and our local Italian restaurant serves excellent food so he really enjoyed that. It's a tiny family run restaurant and when we got there, there was only one other couple in the restaurant, but then a large group of 20 people arrived who were pretty noisy so at times it was hard to hear what we were saying! It was good to see him again - he and Gavin have been friends since primary school, so it's a long enduring friendship.
Today was wonderfully bright and sunny, what a pleasure to walk in the woods with the sunshine pouring in through the trees. Xena also thought so as she sat here enjoying the view!
I have now packed my bags for my trip to Scotland tomorrow - I thought I was doing well as my suitcase weighed in at 15kg but then I had to pack all my electronic chargers and a rain jacket and next thing I was up at 19kg - and I still have to add my toiletries. My camera backpack weighs 12kg which is a huge weight for me to carry on my frame, although that weight will reduce one I take my laptop and second camera body out, I don't need to carry those around every day. I wish I could hire a bag carrier for these trips, haha!
Tonight I have book club, and it is being hosted by our Scottish member so we are having our much delayed Burns Night supper - she was away on Burns Night so this is the soonest we could do it. Thankfully I do not have an early flight tomorrow as I know it will be a late night for me.
I have just checked in to my flight online and realised I am allowed 32kg luggage allowance due to my BA account, whew that's a relief!
