Kew Gardens Birthday outing

Today we have visited Kew Gardens for my birthday treat. We had booked tickets for the annual Orchid Festival, in the Princess of Wales conservatory, whose theme this year is orchids and other plants from Peru. It was a spectacular display.  See extras for views of alpaca with the orchid cornucopia and spectacled bear among the orchids!
The sun shone nearly all day so the winter gardens looked stunning.  We had a delicious meal in the Botanical restaurant, so all in all, we've enjoyed a fabulous day.
