Hyun-taek Cho, Opening Night at Blue Sky
This man does amazing work. He finds abandoned buildings (of which he says there is an abundance in South Korea), and he creates Camera Obscura projections in those buildings and then photographs the buildings with the projections. You have to look closely to see what's in the building and what's in the projection. Fascinating. So the main is the man and his work, opening tonight at Blue Sky Gallery.
The first of three extras is people socializing around Colton Rothwell's work; the second is people looking at my work. The third is Bella, Cristina, Evan, and Sue at a selfie machine that Evan was enjoying.
It is an honor to be in that gallery. I would really love to see Hyun-taek Cho's work again. I hope Sue and I can go back on Saturday to hear his talk.
And thanks to Sue for blipping me and my work, surrounded by people I love. My gratitude to Teressa Raiford of Don't Shoot Portland for making this exhibit possible. (I broke my MonoMonth intention; it would be mean to make his richly colored photos into mono. I hope to return to MonoMonth tomorrow.)
