Back to back
Another busy day of back-to-backs, more or less. I started off listening to an update at High School Yards (hence the picture at the bottom right), before I had to walk over to the Chrystal Macmillan building for an editorial meeting (via one of the kebab shops....). Back again to hold a Teams meeting with someone willing to do an important role within the School, which is definitely a job ticked off, and then into the car (not me driving...) for a trip to St Andrews for a lecture and dinner. The light as we went through Fife was fantastic. The lecture and dinner and entire event was very well organised, and full of the great and the good, including the First Minister and the former Prime Minister of Ireland. As we were driving back to Edinburgh, I noted once again that St Andrews is one of those strange places where it seems to take longer to get back than it does to get there. That's the opposite of my normal 'experience', namely that getting somewhere seems to take longer than it does to get back. Anyway, once again, Fife felt endless. I was happy I wasn't driving.
I fell straight into bed when I got home.
