Bounty from the Sea

This was the first Friday I've been to Shepshed Market for weeks, what with telephone appointments and it being cold etc.

You should be able to tell from the photo why we like to go to the fishmonger there. Superb bass and bream, sardines that look rather like sprats (which I love) and an octopus. Not forgetting the usuals like salmon, mackerel, cod, flat fish, smoked haddock, prawns and eggs. There's also chicken, pheasant, anchovies.

Because I'd had to get a spare pair of off the shelf specs from Mr Ryatt, Len got the greengrocery from The Urban Farm Shop but we did buy some bread and cheese at the market.

Popped into The Flower Lady where I bought a pot of daffs and hyacinths. We didn't stay for coffee, preferring to motor to the Outwoods where I had egg and bacon.

That's about all for today.
