Periwinkle
D did some house chores while I went to the allotment. We were aware that there'd been a ground frost again but I was surpised at the amount of ice - a solid sheet of it on the top of a neighbour's water butt. I broke some up in the little birdies' water pot, and put out a load of food for them. They'll turn their beaks up at the gritty fat balls initially, but they'll eat them eventually.
Only other photo was a rather nondescript view of broad bean plants coming up, so here's an eccentric periwinkle I found flowering by the gate.
