Rethymno

This morning we were up early and headed to Rethymno for a morning of sightseeing. The old quarter is crammed with tall houses with wrought-iron balconies, a legacy of Venetian rule and several mosques hint at the Turkish influence on the town. The bars around the harbour are the perfect place to sip a cool drink while watching the world go by!

Back at the villa now and a few hours to relax around the pool before going out for a meal.
