Of vines. I could be alternating vines and blossom for a while at this rate. It rained overnight and was still overcast this morning, but had stopped raining by ten. I went shopping in town, as we had pretty much cleared out leftovers in the last few days; yesterday S made an Elizabeth David pasta dish I haven't made for decades, tagliatelle a la paesana, using leftover roast pork, leftover mushrooms, lardons, cherry tomatoes and spinach that needed using up, an old piece of Comté almost too hard to grate, and the last of my home-made sourdough tagliatelle made with leftover starter. It was really delicious -- I must get it back into rotation. We don't often have roast pork, but it would be fine with just the bacon for protein content. Incidentally my copy of Elizabeth David's Italian Food is so old that it has "foreign" words like pasta and pizza in italics.
As you can see it cleared up this afternoon, although it was chillier than it looks. A quick walk and photos of the usual subjects.
