Lili

We have Lili with us this weekend - well we have Daniel and Solveig too of course! 

Daniel is here to help G move our furniture prior to next week’s damp course renewal. Over the last six months, sinister damp patches have appeared on our walls and we’ve had to face up to the likelihood of the failure of the damp course installed some 37 years ago when we moved in. 

We’ve had surveys and estimates, and now it’s time for the work - which I’m dreading. Dust, noise, freezing temperatures - and of course the cost ….. None of this fills me with joy. Still, it has to be done. I’ve told G that I’m sure the builders will move the furniture on Monday, but he insists on doing it. I’ve also said they’ll bring dust sheets - but of course we have to buy our own ……..

Anyway, the positive side of all this is that we have Lili with us. She’s still a little wary of us and I’m yet to have a Lili-cuddle, but at least she doesn’t burst into tears as soon as she sees us! And she’s feeling so much better that she’s up to playing and showing us just what a character she is. I have great fun photographing her this afternoon and she definitely likes the camera - but then of course I have the problem of deciding what to blip! 

It’s a tough choice between a mono of Lili on her own, and one with Solveig, but I’ve gone with the majority view here which is the solo portrait, leaving the other in extras with a collage of coloured Lili shots!
