Come in number 7

I bet you can’t guess how we spent our Saturday night?  You’d be right if you thought “roaming the garden with torches calling for a missing chicken to come home and be tucked up in the safety of the henhouse with the others”.
But number7’s time was up, she never came home, and we found her this morning just outside the garden, on the edge of the field, with a large bird of prey standing over her having it’s breakfast.
