Just another Sunday…

My first job was to nip to the shop down the road for a bottle of bleach. I have to buy it somewhere really close to home because my poor old arthritic hands can’t open the bottle which means I have to get someone to loosen the top so that I can carry it carefully up the road to home. The ideal place to buy it would be the shop a couple of doors away from me but for some reason they rarely have bleach so I’ve crossed them off my list. Anyway having got the bleach home I have to be particularly careful going upstairs to the bathroom because a slip there would result in bleach on the stair carpet; not something that would amuse my landlord. So far all has gone well so hopefully will continue to be. Then I decided I fancied a bottle of Muscadet which I hadn’t had for ages. Well that turned out to be as inaccessible as the bleach. They’d sold out!
I say inaccessible because it comes in a bottle with an old fashioned cork needing corkscrew to open it. Again not something I can manage.
I may have solved the accessibility problem with the Orvieto but I think Muscadet will be the better wine so I’m keeping an eye out for when it’s on M&S shelves again and then I’ll deliver my verdict;-)

And once again this seems like something that belongs on Silly Saturday!
