Arctic circle tour

We left Stockholm this morning at 7:49 clutching our breakfast bags and lunch for a 6 hour train ride to Ostersund.
Once settled into the hotel ( more of that later) we went to explore the small town. All over the place were these little dinosaur statues in very different guises. This one hase line drawings on of Asian things. They were all different, a skier, one with 6 jockeys, recycling , a blue one with water lilies , a pink one covered in children's drawings. We wondered what they meant and discovered that the local people have 'spotted' a monster ( similar to our Nessie) in the lake since the 17th century. This is a very large deep lake like Loch Ness.
The Hotel used to be a theatre and the dining room is in the auditorium complete with stage. A balcony runs around 3 sides and this also has tables. We were wondering if it was a dinner theatre similar to the one in Sonning or if they do themed evenings.
Up at 5:00 am in the morning for another early start.
