Sunset

A busy day! Our monthly church choir today coincided with the baptism of a friends baby. A lovely morning and great fun. I'm getting the hang of reading music and it was made easier today as the choir leader stood beside me and sang alto with us (we need all the help we can get!).

This afternoon we went to Pooley Bridge to pick up #2 Daughter. She was returning from a study weekend in Chester and got a lift with a couple of Edinburgh ladies who fancied a swim in Ullswater. She could have gone home with them but wanted another night with us.

As we were driving home, I saw a patch of orange sky and persuaded The Man to carry on past our turn-off to get a high view of the Lake District.
