Shelter From The Storm

I don't normally do selfies, and I don't normally pose beneath an umbrella. I'm more of a hat man these days. I had an idea for this wet Mono Monday though and, as I've said before, once I get an idea I have to see it through. I got this in the first take!

I must have had this umbrella for over 30 years. When I was at the pinnacle of my career (!) whenever it rained I used it walking from the car park to my office. I thought it made me look (and feel) very managerial and important. Ah, those were the days! 'Twas in another lifetime ...

A busy day today. Camera club this evening (a talk on landscape astrophotography) and we are off to Cornwall first thing tomorrow. I've been sorting out images and prints for our next competition as I won't have time to do this when we get back next Monday.
