Spontaneous

The week before, on the 22nd, on the way from Darlington to take the ferry from Hull to Rotterdam, had the idea of buying a new horse trailer. A dealer in Leeds had one on stock.

Quite an adventure driving it home! Unlike the UK where you simply use the towing vehicles numberplate, in Germany trailers have their own numberplates. Putting any other numberplate eg the car's plates on is document falsification and comes with a big fine! Somehow we managed it!

Now need to change some bits & pieces before I can get it registered in Germany, e,g, the foglight has to change sides & need special paperwork for the brakes which luckily are German build.

Still have our old Ifor Williams trailer which we hope to sell to friends tomorrow.
