Hiding In Plain Sight
We stayed up until the end of the game. The crew was happy with the results; we usually root for the underdog unless it’s our home team playing. Hubby was up at his usually time. The rest of us slept in. I came down around 8:00 and fed the birds. We had breakfast and I did a load of laundry. We cleaned the kitchen and it was time for lunch. We are expecting nasty weather starting tomorrow and continuing until we leave. We decided to ride to the small town of Cameron and take a walking tour. These deer were standing on the side of the road, begging to become my blip. There were three but the one in the back was blurry. We started our tour by the nursing home. The defunct Cameron pottery was near there and pieces continue to be uncovered when it rains. My sister is making her friend a birdhouse using the pottery on the outside. She needed a few more pieces. Then we walked all through town, checking out the unique shops. Our last stop was at the library. The librarian was happy to provide a history of the town. Our BIL and I took advantage of their Wi-Fi. I tried to read a few of your journals. Actually, everyone we encountered made us feel welcome. As evening approached, the temps lowered and we decided to come home and make dinner. Wishing you the opportunity to visit a new town and discover their treasures. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “It’s in those quiet little towns, at the edge of the world, you will find the salt of the earth people who make you feel right at home.”― Aaron Lauritsen
