In The Snow

I was the lazy one today. Everyone had finished breakfast by the time I came downstairs. It started to snow about that time. We enjoyed watching the birds. We couldn’t count the cardinal couples but I know there were at least 12 pair. My sister got a new camera. She is letting me borrow her previous one so I can take some decent bird photos while we are here. I had my first lesson today. Bear with me; I am a novice at best. Hubby worked on his computer. He received a new book to review so he is sending the author feedback now. My sister washed all the ceramic pieces we found yesterday. You might see our collection if the birds do not cooperate. The hawk has been frightening them today. They are getting snow at home also. We called our mother to see if she was able to watch the snow fall, one of her favorite activities. So glad she’s had that joy a few times this winter. Our grandson is out cleaning snow from parking lots and driveways. He advertised on Facebook and has enough work to keep him and a friend busy all night. Of course, I will worry about him until the Life360 app tells me he is back at home safely. The schools and the base closed early today. Our drivers are simply not prepared to drive in this weather. There have already been accidents reported. My sister is taking down her tree today. See extra. It is a sad time. She has such a nice way of protecting each precious antique ornament. It is still snowing but we don’t expect to get as much accumulation as the folks at home. Wishing you fun times in your current weather. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “Little bird in the fallen snow, “The warmth has gone, “The leaves have flown, “But the nook of a tree in a welcome wood, and “Will always make a cozy home.” - Laura Jarowski
