A little digger

Overcast and cold with showers in the morning.  Out in the afternoon via George V park. The cycle route is closed while new drains are being dug either side of the path; here was what has been happening when it's wet.
My husband pointed out that the digger driver was posing for his picture .. 

At Goldenacre the curlew and oyster catcher flock has increased - more than a hundred birds busily feeding on the sports field. Back in by the Warriston path and Canonmills.
