Jailed!

After not doing a great deal this morning again (tomorrow will be different!) we had lunch and then went out for a walk up to Lincoln castle.

We got season passes at the end of last year  so we can go whenever we like until the end of the year, including free entry to some of the events. I'd not been in the castle itself for many years, and they have opened up more of it since I last ventured inside.

It was interesting to look round the old Victorian prison and to learn something about what life was like for the prisoners and staff. My Blip was taken from the balcony from the first floor level of the jail.

Before going home we had a look at the original documents of the Magna Carta and Charter of the Forest, when much of what had been common land in the UK was put into the hands of a few wealthy barons. That was where it all started to go wrong...
