Fête De Lavande ...

We visited a Lavender Feast in Thorame Haute, a small village between Colmars les Alpes and St. André les Alpes. All activities have something to do with lavender. And of course there's vivid merchandise in all kind of articles related to Lavender.

And of course there're all kinds of snacks and refreshments and wine to attract the public coming from the surrounding villages and not to forget the tourists.

Most impressing I found the equipment to get the essential oils out of the lavender. The whole process was shown in one of the streets adjacent to the market place ... ;)

Weather report: there were a lot of grey clouds and some drops of rain by a temperature of 28°C.
