The Reddest Chairs, Rochester Cathedral

We popped over today to Rochester Cathedral to see Luke Jerram's Mars instillation (see last extra). I made a bit of a faux pas on entering by asking one of the staff why it wasn't lit up - apparently it was! I think because there was daylight coming in through the stained glass and the front entrance it had dulled it somewhat. I've increased the contrast a bit in my image of it to bring out the detail but on first seeing it it resembled a very large, dirty brown beach ball! It is supposed to look fantastic at night but the evenings are ticketed (it's free to view during the day).
However, all was not lost as the seating was bathed in neon red light that made it look fantastic so I chose to make that my subject for both my main image and my first extra.
