Stranded In The Sun!
We had unexpected wall-to-wall sunshine this morning so we made the most of it by driving to Mevagissey. As Mrsfb still isn't that mobile I decided to park in the harbour rather than our usual car park which is a bit of a walk from the village. It was a touch scary driving along the narrow harbour wall with an aggressive Land Rover (with a 'BIG FISH' personalised number plate next to the standard one) directly behind you! We made it though without driving over the edge!
The main blip meets the Wide Wednesday theme of transport I hope, even though they are all grounded. By mid afternoon the tide had come in and they were all afloat, and I got another shot, but I thought the morning image was the more interesting one.
Before our now usual fish and chips lunch in The Ship Inn I had a play with my variable ND filter. The first extra is a 1/4 second exposure. Good fun though I wished I had brought the tripod with me as it was a bit precarious bending down to hold the camera steady on the harbour wall.
After lunch we drove on to Charlestown. The sunshine had gone by mid afternoon but it was still a nice day for walking the dog, especially if you have a Union Jack hat and camouflage jacket (second extra).
More football tonight - Everton v Liverpool. Sorry mrsfb! We have booked a few meals now though, an anniversary evening meal tomorrow, a Valentines Day's afternoon tea on Thursday, and a nice Sunday Lunch.
