The Last Blue Sky Day!
For a while at least....and I got to have a lovely lunch with Tookie! It's been far too long since we've seen each other, so we had a great catch up. Her image of us this afternoon was so creative that I went looking for photo faffing apps....this is kind of fun I thought. It's call BeFunky and this is "Realist Painting". I think it makes us look younger, don't you think :-)
I spent the morning at a really cool place called Elk Rock Garden in Portland. It has a really interesting history including being owned by the Episcopalian Diocese of Oregon for many years. It was re-purchased by the original family who built the manor in 2023 and is now home to several non-profit horticulture and garden related organizations, including the Hardy Plant Society of Oregon with whom I was meeting. The garden is open to the public and I'm so looking forward to watching spring unfold at this incredible place! The extra is a view of Mt. Hood across the lawn.
We're expecting a bout of wintery weather starting tomorrow morning - snow, rain, ice - who knows. We'll see what tomorrow brings, but it won't be blue skies!
