What a mug!
Things have come to a very sorry state of affairs when my only photograph of the day is a mucky mug. However, there is a wee bit of a story here. This is my joint favourite mug (the other being a pink mug with a herdwick sheep on it) because it holds a suitable volume of coffee or hot chocolate and the handle allows for a firm grip. But the main reason I like it so much is because it reminds me of a most enjoyable holiday we had in the Outer Hebrides and while there I purchased this at a small museum near Uig Bay where the 12th century walrus ivory Lewis chess pieces were discovered in a sand dune in 1831.
I chose to leave the ring of froth on the inside to demonstrate how much I had enjoyed the coffee that Nick had made for me this evening.
