Water ands Sewerage Problems

Nothing seemed to be happening with the water and sewage leaks at the end of our boundary. Anglian Water and Affinity Water, both say that it is the other company’s problem. So I rang them an told them that there was a pollution risk to the fresh water supply; they arrived within the hour.
 
I was correct and both the sewerage pipe and the water pipe were damaged. Anglian Water were there until 2130 hours capping the sewer pipe. They were also in my garden taking water samples; they were worried about the environment.
 
I reported this on Sunday, but it seems that these two companies do not communicate with each other, so nothing was done.
 
I had a committee meeting in the afternoon and so today’s picture was taken when I returned home. It is of some of the vehicles dealing with the problem. This is happening one my one street.
 
The temperature today at noon was three degrees Celsius.
