Almost Ready! …

… Lots is prepared. (It won’t be enough! It rarely is!).

Also, there’s a weird ‘equation’ whereby no matter how prepared you are, ahead of guests arriving, you never have time to sit down before the ring of the doorbell do you?
(I’m always just throwing on some lipstick as it rings).

Lipstick! Hmm. I used to work with an immaculately turned out lady, who always said, ‘the worse you feel, the brighter your lipstick must be, and no one will notice!’
I’m not sure about that, but my lipstick will be a shade called ‘Velvet Ribbon’, which is pretty eye-poppingly red. (It’s been an ‘interesting’ week!).

Obvs, the wine forecast is pretty good.
