Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Yesterday evening, when I went to start the dishwasher, it was flashing some odd numbers and refused to start. Tragedy!

So this morning, I took all the dishes out of the broken dishwasher, and washed them in the sink. Not IN the sink - it’s a Belfast sink - in a plastic basin in the sink… I was chuckling to myself, as there has been quite a bit of discussion in some parts of blip about such a method. (Extra)

Then when JR came back from the gym, she read the instruction manual again, got it working. DUH!!

Archie went out with Elizabeth for a bonus day and they walked MILES. All the way to Swanston, though they got a bus back. 16,184 steps. Archie is snoring as we speak.

We went into town to meet up with Zoe during her half term. Her school has inspections looming, and once again, we were SO happy to be retired and well out of it!

Andrew, our lovely electrician, came to fix our underfloor heating in the bathroom - it’s like an ice box in there, but hopefully it’ll be toasty by the time I have to make my customary trek to the toilet in bare feet the middle of the night…
