Thursday: Motorway Architecture

We’re up in Ulverston, visiting K’s brother for a few days. We made really good time, just 5 1/2 hours.

He lives in a nice rural location so we’re getting our country fix.  This photo is obviously not that - it’s the service station at Lancaster.

We walked into Ulverston late afternoon for a few drinks but weren’t minded to walk on the way back.  The taxi driver only took cash so Brother J and I left K as a hostage in the taxi while we walked up the path to the house to get some cash.  I am pleased to report we have paid the ransom and secured K’s safe return.  By the time we got back she had his entire life story.
