FKK

A track leads almost 1.5km direct from the apartment to the nearest beach at Myrtiotissa. It's ok for cars for parts of it, but the last stretch down to the beach with next to no parking is extremely steep & frankly dangerous for most. Luckily I had my LandRover Discovery with hill descent control so could easily do it. Naturally as one sees in these parts always a few locals in their Fiat Pandas who can get anywhere, but most people went down on foot.

If you can see it on the photo, there is an electricity line going down from the top right hand corner to the bottom left. That's the road too, almost 45° drop.

There was back then just a tiny beach bar and that was it. Most of the beach was nudist (FKK in German - Freikörperkultur - Free Body Culture). So when in Rome...... On weekdays there were probably no more than a dozen people there. We spent most of our days here when we weren't exploring.
