Another Day Another Storm

This has been a difficult day. I thought i'd be able to show the star coat,  today, but belatedly I decided to try it on before I put the sleeves in. It fits quite well except the armholes are too small which of course means taking it all apart again...I was trying to fix it but had a really bad spool of thread which kept knotting up until I finally threw the spool in the trash and moved on to something else.

The atmospheric river has come ashore again and it has been very windy and raining, intermittently hard all day so we haven't been able to take Spike outside and therefore neither of us has had much exercise. He's had as much as we could give him throwing his prickle ball up and down the hall.

I was trying to take a picture of the rain on the window with the lemon tree in the background, but it came out the other way around...the path in front of it has turned into a lake.

We had an appointment at the bank in the afternoon. Fortunately the bank isn't far away because it was still raining fairly hard off and on. Unfortunately, our business took almost two hours of signing papers, much longer than we thought it would be. The young man taking care of us was very pleasant, but a stickler for accuracy. I shouldn't complain about that, but it took aa long time. By the time we got home neither one of us was in the mood for much of anything but a glass of wine.
