On the Wall

I'd had plenty to do today with the dog scenario, the gym and a lovely facial which I felt I needed/deserved. Consequently it was later than I wished to arrive with the owls but it didn't matter there were no owls flying at all.

This kestrel had been spotted with a road kill (see JDO's blip which I'm sure she will mention) which it kept going back to. I was led to the spot by a kind birder and waited. This birder had used up over a card on the episode and they were fantastic shots. Yes my kestrel did come in as there was still plenty left on the partridge but the traffic on the lane kept putting her off. Coming closer on the wall to her prey everything was going according to plan until a bus went by and she flew never to return. Not while I was there anyway.
